In contrast, sewage pumps are designed for environments with poorer water quality, such as liquids containing highly corrosive substances, easily entangled or clumped fibers, and other complex components. These liquids may include solids like feces, paper scraps, and fibers, which impose higher demands on the pump's structure and performance.

2. Structural Design Differences

Due to the different media being handled, there are significant differences in the structural design between clean water pumps and sewage pumps. Clean water pumps are typically composed of a motor and a water pump, featuring a relatively simple structure. The clearance between the impeller blades is smaller to enhance efficiency. However, this also means that if debris is generated during operation, it can easily clog inside the impeller, causing it to stop rotating and leading to malfunction. Sewage pumps, on the other hand, require consideration of more factors to ensure reliability and resistance to blockage. To prevent debris from clogging the pipelines, the flow channels of sewage pumps are usually designed to be wider. The clearance between the impeller blades of sewage pumps is also larger than that of clean water pumps, accommodating the higher debris content in sewage. To avoid entanglement and blockage, the impeller design of sewage pumps is generally simpler and often includes serrated blades to crush debris.

The application scopes of clean water pumps and sewage pumps also differ significantly.
