deep well pump is a type of pump submerged in groundwater wells for water
extraction and conveyance. It integrates the motor and pump into a single unit and
is widely used in agricultural irrigation and drainage, industrial and mining
enterprises, urban water supply and drainage, and sewage treatment. Since the motor
is also submerged in water, its structural requirements are more specialized than
those of general motors. The motor's structural forms include dry, semi-dry, oil-
filled, and wet types.
Before starting the pump, the suction pipe and the pump body must be filled with
liquid. Once the pump is operational, the impeller rotates at high speed, causing
the liquid inside to spin along with the blades. Under the action of centrifugal
force, the liquid is flung away from the impeller and ejected outward. The ejected
liquid gradually slows down in velocity and increases in pressure within the pump
casing's diffuser chamber, then flows out through the pump outlet and discharge
pipe. At this point, a low-pressure vacuum zone devoid of both air and liquid forms
at the center of the blades as the liquid is thrown outward. The liquid from the
reservoir is drawn into the pump via the suction pipe under the influence of
atmospheric pressure on the reservoir surface. Thus, the liquid is continuously and
repeatedly drawn from the reservoir and discharged through the discharge pipe.
